Hi, I’m Shipei Huang, currently a fifth-year undergraduate student at University of Washington pursuing B.S. degrees in Honors Economics and Honors Bioengineering, with a minor in data science. People often ask me why I'm pursuing two majors. The answer is simple: I love designing and problem-solving. I believe that undergraduate life is the best time to learn what we truly love throughout our life, especially when we are free from the burdens of life. Here is a copy of my CV.
My experience in Bioengineering and Economics has honed my research abilities and demonstrated my capacity to excel in challenging and multidisciplinary fields. I’m fortunate to be advised by Professor Yijie Geng in the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Department at the University of Washington. My research interests lie in Zebrafish g-force tolerance, brain imaging and conditional learning. And I built a system for future researchers to test the conditional learning capabilities of zebrafish at different life stages. -> See my work.
In Economics fields, I’m fortunate to be advised by Professor Quan Wen in Economics Department at the University of Washington. My fields of research focus on game theory, economics policy and monetary economics. Currently, I'm working on my independent research focusing on the RDEU (rank dependent expected utility) model. My goal is to explore how risk evaluations affect the decision-making process of the marginal countries (with weak bargaining power) during a global conflict. ->See my work.
